I recently completed building a downed German fighter plane for a WWII skirmish game. The plane was a cheap ($13) snap together kit meant for kids, but it was 1:48 scale. The crew and the Home Guardsmen are Foundry.
Rather than a single, large base, I decided to make the plan on three smaller bases.

Wow, this really works with the 3 bases. I like the jagged wing edges and the smoke really pops. Very nice work Buck!
That turned out super nice!! Did the ripped wing effect give you any issues?
No. I chose to use card instead of aluminum foil. I was thinking for gaming the card would be stiffer and not bend (and lose paint) like aluminum. The results weren’t as nice as the tutorial you sent, but they are good enough for gaming.
